Zain Saudi Arabia selects Ericsson for digital transformation

Zain Saudi Arabia has selected Ericsson to transform its technology infrastructure to meet the needs of the future digital frontlines.
The end-to-end digital transformation will bring vital improvement in customer experience and equip customers with the necessary stimuli to react, be exposed and benefit from a larger array of services through a managed service by Ericsson.
The deal was signed by Peter Kaliaropoulos, CEO of Zain Saudi Arabia, and Ali Eid, head of Ericsson Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Palestine, on the sidelines of the Mobile World Congress 2017, held in Barcelona.
In the five-year deal valued around $70 million, Ericsson will be responsible for IT managed services, application development and maintenance.
The presence of Ericsson MS team alongside Zain Saudi Arabia operations team will implement a joint roadmap to achieve enhanced customer experience.
The deal is another step for Zain Saudi Arabia toward the continuation of their digital transformation journey to create a smarter technology management infrastructure that will synergize consumer behavior with top-notch customer service fronts.
“Providing a state-of-the-art customer experience is an essential part of our transformation plan,” said Kaliaropoulos. “This agreement represents a new step in our strategy to turn Zain Saudi Arabia into a true digital frontrunner. We are implementing a transformational strategy and investing in the latest technology to improve customer experience, hence responding to our customers’ digital needs. It will help us centralize and streamline our business, creating lean and agile operations that will also result in cost efficiencies.”
