RIYADH: The Love Your Heritage cultural exhibition, which aims to promote culture and highlight to the young generation the importance of Saudi heritage to strengthen patriotic spirit among them, is attracting many visitors.
Organized by L’Art Pur Foundation in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) here at the King Abdul Aziz Historical Center (KAHC), the ongoing third edition of the cultural expo displays contemporary art to promote Arab heritage and culture.
The exhibition continues through March 4 at the Mud House, KAHC.
The exhibition is the idea of Princess Adwa bint Yazid bin Abdallah, director of the L’Art Pur Gallery, one of the largest art galleries in the Middle East.
She eyed the Mud House building as a perfect location for the exhibition, an official from the foundation at the exhibition said, adding that the objective of the exhibition is to connect the new generation to their history in order to inspire them to think about their historical values.
The official said that more than 2,000 guests have visited the exhibition inaugurated recently, and it is estimated that visitor numbers will grow to 12,000 when the event concludes.
The expo displays a range of designs and products prepared by Saudi artisans and inspired by national heritage and culture.
The artists who have participated in the exhibition include Faisal Alkuhdaidi, Saddek Wasil, Talal Al-Zeid, Abdulwahab Otaif, Maisa Shaldan, Ghadi Al-Jummah, Mashael Al-Abdulatif, Badryah Abdulah, Dona Al-Turki, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Ebtisam Al-Matlaq, Noura Al-Juries, Skna Hassan, Noura Shugair, Khulood Al-Qusaibi, Samirah Al-Harthi, Najla Al-Khalifa, Awatif AlSafwan, Maha Al-Ghanmi, Moayad Lingga, Abdullah Al-Noghather, Jassim Al-Dhamin and Abdulelah Al-Sabhan.
This exhibition is particularly important considering the richness of Saudi culture and the pride in the heritage that is derived from the culture, which helps it move forward toward further development.
