JEDDAH: Saudi Oil, Hyderabad Green, Makkah Kings and ARM United scored convincing wins against separate opponents in the Kanoo Premier League sponsored by Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association.
Jamoom Fighters and ECU Lines also won in the 9th week matches of the competition at JCA grounds in Usfan outside of Jeddah.
Saudi Oil beat Al-Zafer by 120 runs behind a superb 89 by skipper Humayoon Farooq and polished 74 off 25 balls from Sulaiman. Their team tallied an imposing total of 254 for 5.
Hyderabad Green had the better of Ittihad beating them by 6 wickets due to fine bowling performance by Zakar Afridi (4 for 18).
Makkah Kings hammered out an impressive win by 7 wickets over favorites Jamoom Tigers. Abdul Wahid’s scintillating knock of 126 runs off only 39 balls with 9 fours and 13 sixes enabled his team to make a mockery of Jamoom Tigers’ total of 203 runs, which the Kings passed for the loss of 3 wickets.
ECU lines defeated Al Burj by 30 runs with Karamat scoring a solid 44 runs.
Jamoom Fighters battled to a huge 91 run win over Kashmir Stags thanks to Naeem’s 108 inclusive of 16 fours and 2 sixes. ARM United scored an easy 7-wicket win over CH XI mainly on Nazeer’s thrilling knock of 80 inclusive of 13 fours and 2 sixes.
