Veolia introduced AQUAVISTA 5C, claimed as its latest breakthrough in smart chemical dosing and monitoring technology for cooling systems, at the 12th SABIC Technical Conference (STC-12) in Saudi Arabia.
The STC-12 took place in Jubail Industrial City from Nov. 6 to 9, with the support of Prince Saud bin Naif. Veolia Water Technologies Saudi presented one of its latest “innovative solutions,” Aquavista 5C, claimed as a breakthrough in smart chemical dosing and monitoring technology for cooling systems.
With cooling systems, operators have to continuously adapt the chemical dosing in the water to mitigate fluctuating makeup and cooling water parameters.
The Aquavista 5C is Veolia’s automated technology to diagnose cooling systems conditions for appropriate chemical response solution, providing users with key features and functions of top-of-the-line cooling monitoring and controlling systems. This solution can prevent adverse effects such as scaling, corrosion and bio-fouling in cooling towers.
Badr Ghawji, MD, Veolia Water Technologies Saudi Arabia, said: “Aquavista 5C monitoring system serves the purpose of collecting the operational data, calculating the corrective actions, executing the corrections, communicating with system’s operator, and controlling the optimum design parameters. Veolia recently won a contract in the GCC to produce 80 units of Aquavista 5C for one of the key players in the region.”
Veolia Water Technologies operates a chemicals factory located in Riyadh where Veolia’s proprietary Hydrex water treatment chemicals range is produced.
Hydrex has been specially formulated to help optimize the operation of a water treatment plant and of its equipment. This specialized chemical knowledge and expertise is instrumental in improving the efficiency of boilers, cooling towers, membranes and conventional water treatment equipment.
Another Veolia factory, located in Alkhobar, supplies and executes all water and industrial wastewater systems, varying from packaged equipment supply to execution of turnkey plants.
