The operation and maintenance sector in the Kingdom can provide 200,000 jobs for Saudis, said Abdul Rahman Al-Zamil, president of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC), on Wednesday.
“The sector employs 900,000 workers, including managers and technicians, and can provide 200,000 jobs for Saudis,” Al-Zamil said, while addressing a graduation ceremony organized by the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry at its training center.
He urged the Labor Ministry and other government departments to name various jobs and determine their salaries and benefits.
“They should also identify the acceptable nationalization rate in the operation and maintenance sector,” he said. Al-Zamil, who is also chairman of the Riyadh Chamber, commended the Labor Ministry’s efforts to train the national cadre and create job opportunities for youth.
