IISJ cabinet promises to uphold school’s image

The International Indian School in Jeddah, conducted its students’ cabinet investiture ceremony at the boys’ section here recently. Mohammed Raqib Qureshi, the school observer and head of the chancery, congratulated the new office bearers and urged them to demonstrate leadership qualities and to be role models for others.
The program commenced with the recitation from the holy Qur’an. Master Abdullah Zakir and Majid Hussain, both CBSE Gulf Sahodaya toppers, welcomed the gathering.
The cabinet members led by their head boy Mohammed Maniyar, pledged their loyalty and selfless service to the school. They also promised to uphold the name of the school and honor the institution.
Master Taha Ameen, literacy secretary and the CBSE Gulf Sahodaya Topper for the year 2014, promised to be a worthy torchbearer of the school, by adhering to the values of honesty, perseverance, teamwork and service. Speaking on the occasion, Haroon Rasheed, the management committee chairman, put forth his vision of seeing the young IISJians work together as a unified force and bring laurels to the institution.
The most anticipated event of the day was the short skit performed by members of the cabinet. The skit titled, “Respect toward Parents” reminded the children to recognize, honor and appreciate the love and care they receive from their parents.
A Power Point Presentation titled “Dare To Dream” by Hussain, a student from class XII, brought home the proposition of how today’s children promised to be the harbingers of change in the present competitive world. The school choir team enthralled the audience with its inspirational and captivating numbers.
Principal Syed Masood Ahmed, commended the performance and congratulated the newly appointed cabinet members. He expressed his desire of seeing the young leaders excel in all walks of life. He urged the students to have a clear conscience while carrying out their duties.
Earlier in his welcome address, Vice Principal Najeeb Qais congratulated the young and newly appointed leaders and reposed faith in their abilities to achieve excellence in academics, sports and other co-curricular activities. The head master of IX-XII Block Boys’ Noufal P. officiated the cabinet members’ oath-taking ceremony.
The newly appointed leaders promised to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them. Assistant head boy Master Arbaab Khan gave a vote of thanks.
