PISJ-ES council holds meeting with parents

Parents of the students of the Pakistan International School (English Section) met with the School Management Council (SMC) at the school premises in Rehab district, recently and reposed full confidence in the council. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Parents-Teachers Conference (PTC).
The council updated parents on school plans and developments since the formation of the council on Dec. 15, 2013. Hamid Bashir, SMC chairman, outlined some of the key strategic priorities the council had been working since its inception and updated parents on the progress. The meeting was attended by Tahir Malik, deputy chairman, and other members including Dr. Akhtar Quershi, Faisal Afzal Khan, Kamran Ahmed and Dr. Tauqeer Ahmad Malik. Imran Raza Khan, acting principal and Dr. A. H. Baker, education adviser, were also present.
The highlights of the meeting included appointment of auditors, revision of the organizational structure of the school, progress on the appointment of a new principal, improvement in the syllabus and curriculum, formulation of new school management policies, the school building expansion plan and staff capability development.
SMC members discussed these and other areas of concern highlighted by parents with a commitment to fully address these issues.
The parents expressed their satisfaction as most of their concerns were already being addressed by the council.
SMC members thanked the parents and school faculty for their support and confidence and assured them that they will raise PISJ-ES educational standards to an even higher level than at present.
