Hallmark of professional journalism

I am happy to learn that Arab News is celebrating it 39th anniversary on April 21, 2014.
Founded 38 years ago in Jeddah on April 20, 1975, the newspaper has the prestige of being the first English language daily newspaper of Saudi Arabia. Published simultaneously from Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam, the newspaper offers a variety of news ranging from government, politics and finance to social events and sports. It gives coverage of a wide range of national, regional and global issues with a Saudi perspective through its celebrated columnists.
With some of the best editors-in-chief of Saudi Arabia at work, the newspaper has earned a name for itself in the field of professional journalism and has become a reliable source of information in the Kingdom.
By virtue of its dedicated team of professionals, quality of reporting, policy of integrity and handling of expatriate issues, the paper is immensely popular among the expatriate community including businessmen, executives and diplomats. It is equally popular among a cross section of the Saudi society. The weekly page on ‘Islam in Perspective’ is very relevant and highly informative.
We hope that under the wise, young and energetic leadership of Mr. Mohammed Fahad Al-Harthi, the newspaper would be able to achieve its high goals and meet the expectations of the Saudi and expatriate population in the Kingdom.
On this auspicious occasion, we extend our hearties congratulations to the entire team of management and staff and wish them all the best.
