Modern Electronics Company Ltd. (MECL), a subsidiary of the Al Faisaliah Group and Sony, a major consumer electronics brand, has introduced the new VAIO Fit PC, featuring a multi-flip hinge that transforms the PC to tablet or viewer modes while offering the functionality of a traditional clamshell laptop.
The new VAIO Fit multi-flip PC series is available in 15-inch, 14-inch and 13-inch screen sizes to suit the computing needs of versatile customers.
The VAIO Fit’s laptop mode comfortably delivers the same performance as conventional notebook PCs. In tablet mode, it is best utilized for browsing the web, taking pictures, and writing with the digitizer stylus. The viewer mode allows the user to share the experience of watching a video or movie with another viewer. This makes the VAIO Fit an ideal for professionals, students, designers or entrepreneurs.
Structured in a stylish, functional design, the PC’s thin chassis is constructed with an aluminum hairline finish. The notebook comes with a full-pitch keyboard, touch pad and palm rest to offer a comfortable typing experience. A backlit keyboard allows users to work in low-light conditions.
The VAIO Inspiration Suite aims to replace the necessity of pen and paper with a collection of core apps that allow users to seamlessly capture, edit and organize content on their VAIO notebooks.
The new PC comes preloaded with a trio of apps. After shooting and reorienting images on CamScanner, users can then clip out the subject of the image using VAIO Clip and write memos on top of the images with their digitizer stylus in VAIO Paper. This provides the same experience as drafting or sketching with pen and paper and much more.
Sony has incorporated its digital imaging expertise, as well as other key technologies into the VAIO Fit multi-flip PC.
