Rolls Royce delighted with 17% growth in region

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls Royce, said in a telephone interview with Arab News in London that he is very pleased his company achieved a 17 percent growth in the Middle East last year.
He believes the result underlines how Middle Eastern customers love Rolls Royce.
He also praised the high ratio of bespoke business from the region which is relevant to the company.
Müller-Ötvös confirmed that the order intake of the new model, the Wraith is exceptional and very pleasing. The company’s new model is sold out to August and already some dealers are knocking on Müller-Ötvös door for more vehicles.
Müller-Ötvös expressed his confidence that the company can top the record sales of last year during 2014 and said: “I am optimistic, especially after seeing Wraith coming on-stream worldwide this year. Very few Wraith cars were delivered to customers by the end of 2013 and the majority will be delivered this year.”
He expects the company to top the record sales figure of 3,630 cars sold in 2013. The company also announced a special edition of V-specification for the Ghost car. Müller-Ötvös said the idea behind the Special Edition V-Specification Ghosts is to celebrate “10 years of the 12-cylinder engine.”
He said the order book for the limited number of Ghost V Specification is filling up quickly.
The car will be produced for a limited time only this year and its resale value is likely to be good.
Earlier in the week, Rolls Royce revealed record sales results for 2013 which reached a global figure of 3630 cars sold.
This is the fourth consecutive year of record sales. These results confirm Rolls-Royce’s position as the world’s leading super-luxury brand.
Strong sales growth was reported across the globe, with notable results seen in the Middle East (up 17 percent) and China (up 11 percent).
Several countries recorded strong sales performances, including Germany, Japan and Canada. China and the US remained the most significant individual markets for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars followed by the Middle East.
Rolls-Royce sold motor cars in more than 40 countries worldwide, building on success in emerging markets.
