Sajjad, Shaikh, Ismail, Omar and Irshad dazzle

RIYADH: Seventeen matches were played during the second round of the MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badshah Twenty20 cricket tournament, organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association under the auspices of the Saudi Cricket Association here.
The highlights of this round was impressive performances by Sajjad, Shaikh, Ismail, Omar and Irshad.
In the Chairman Division, Falcons ousts Kashmir Gymkhana by 7 wickets. Gymkhana took strike first and scored 133 runs. Shabir Kanth top-scored with 73 runs while Bazli Mushtaq gave his support with 25. Sajjad did most of the damage and took 5 wickets. Sirajuddin gave him and took3. Falcons achieved their target after 11 overs. Farukh 63, Asif 37 and Kashif 23 were the main run getters. Shabir Bhat got 3 wickets.
In another match, Riyadh Warriors eased past MPCC by 8 wickets. MPCC batted first and managed to score 152 runs. Shaikh Premnawaz took a hat trick while Saif took 2 wickets. Warriors achieved reached the winning target after 12.3 overs. Asif 77, Abdulaziz 40 and Samir 23 were the main scorers.
Sulaiman XI beat Punjab Lions by 5 wickets. Punjab Lions scored 199 for 7. Fayyaz was the highest scorer with 96 runs followed by Asmat’s 48. Mudassir picked 3 wickets while Naveed got 2. Sulaiman XI reached the target in 16.5 overs. Mudassir 61 and Faraz 53 made the win possible.
Kingdom Warriors beat Grundfos by 14 runs. Warriors put on board 193 runs. Yassir and Faisal picked 2 wickets each. Grundfos were restricted to 179 in reply. Zain scored 57 runs while Riyaz got 44.
Lahore Badshah (LBCC) got the better of Royal Strikers by 25 runs. LBCC put on board 170 runs. Abdulwahab 52, Adnan 51 and Yassir 21 were the main run getters. Strikers managed 145 in reply. Abdulwahab took 4 wickets while Saad and Fahad got 2 wickets each.
TBCC beat Crescent by 4 wickets. Crescent scored 156. Lajeesh and Salam picked 3 wickets each while Aneesh got 2. TBCC reached home after 19.3 overs. Faisal 50 and Hakeem 49 were the top scorers.
Imran XI beat Hyderabad Sunrisers by 8 wickets. Sunrisers were bundled out for 134. Imran XI achieved the target in 14.2 overs. Majid scored 46 and Arshad 31.

In the President Division, Lahore Lions routed Pak Fighters by 9 wickets. Pak Fighters batted first and scored 219 runs. Ismail Isa Khan scored 100 and Zafar 52. Fahad picked 3 wickets. Lahore Lions achieved the target in 18.1 overs. Omar Zafar hit 128 and Muzaffar 60.
Shouraim crushed Al Mina Badshahs by 236 runs. Shouraim put on board 327 for 7. Rizwan scored 97, Arif 85 and Wahid 54. Moazzam took 3 wickets while Aftab got 2. Al Mina Badshahs were all out for 91. Arif picked 3 wickets while Shahnawaz got 2.
KFSH Blues beat Rawdah Heats by 62 runs. KFSH Blues lost 2 early wickets, but then Irshad Mubashir (113) and Nasir Abbasi (68) had a partnership of 178 runs, which put KFSH Blues in a comfortable position. Saqib added quick fire 33 runs, which took the total score to 232 for 4. Umar picked 2 wickets. Heats in reply managed 170 for 8. Hassan 49, Abdulrahman 40, Atif 28 and Saif 25 were the main scorers. Raja Gulraiz and Nadeem Babar picked 3 wickets each.
Indian Strikers got the better of Lions XI Stars by 3 wickets. Lions Stars batted first and scored 176 for 7. Shafiqul 77, Rasel 26 and Raju 25 did their best. Anees and Nadeem took 2 wickets each. Strikers achieved the target after 19.4 overs. Nadeem remained unbeaten on 85. Faiz got 34 runs. Raju picked 3 wickets while Rocky got 2.
Stallions beat Punjab Stars by 8 wickets. Punjab Stars scored 166 runs. Faiz scored 41. Imran and Nisar picked 2 wickets each. Stallions achieved the off 15.5 overs. Imran 69 and Asif 54 were the main run getters. Tauseef picked 2 wickets.
Green Bangla beat Tigers by 21 runs. Green Bangla scored 206 for 3. Saidur Rahman scored 105 and Zakir 52. Tigers in reply managed only 185. Sailesh Kaw 62, Arham 31 and Kamran 21 were tried to put up a fight.
Nouman Gymkhana beat Pasban CC by 58 runs. Gymkhana scored 158 runs. Mubashir 50 and Izhar 45 were the main scorers. Izhar Khan picked 3 wickets while Zainullah, Rahim and Shahzad picked 2 wickets each. Pasban CC managed 100 in reply. Mubashir picked 3 wickets while Imran, Afzal and Mustafa chipped in with 2 wickets each.
FUCHS beat Lusine Cricket Club by 7 wickets. Lusine CC batted first and scored 163. Rustam 55 and Zafar 29 did their best. Hafiz Asghar picked 4 wickets. FUCHS achieved the target in 17.2 overs. Shahbaz hit 89 and Riyaz 40. Sajjid picked two wickets.
