Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh Olaya has launched a new health and fitness program, ‘Commit 2b Fit’, in support of their team members’ health and fitness goals.
The program, will be overseen by professional athlete Faris Al-Sultan, a triathlon Ironman World Champion, and the plan will cover all areas of sports nutrition, fitness, mentoring and coaching support, all designed to actively engage every team member on a variety of levels.
Christian Hoehn, general manager, Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh Olaya, himself an enthusiastic athlete, said: “The first wealth is health and that is my motivation behind keeping fit and eating well. It has been inspirational to see the entire team embrace this thinking, all thanks to the program.”
Since its launch, management at Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh Olaya have created a designated team member gym, monthly fitness activities, developed workout plans for all fitness levels and have hosted nutrition forums and activities to promote a healthy lifestyle for all team members.
In addition to the wider program, Faris Al-Sultan recently visited the hotel to provide a fitness and motivation boost to the team ahead of the New Year, a time traditionally regarded for self-improvement and making a new start.
Al-Sultan inspired the hotel team with his insight into fitness success and highlighted the similarities between professional sport and high performing teams in the work environment.
“As a world class athlete, Faris is the right man for the job. The session with Faris not only gave us additional motivation to improve our lifestyles through health and fitness, but also gave us the competitive edge to start 2014 in the best possible way,” Christian added.
The ‘Commit 2b Fit’ program will continue as an on-going initiative for team members at the Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh Olaya.
