PISJ-ES celebrates Pakistan founder’s birth anniversary

The birth anniversary of the Pakistan’s founder Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah was celebrated with pride and enthusiasm, by the students and teachers of Pakistan International School Jeddah (English section) on Tuesday.
Principal Imran Raza Khan welcomed the guests, students and teachers. “There have been very few people who had the power and will to change the course of history,” he said.
“Quaid-e-Azam was such a man who not only changed the history of the subcontinent but also made his mark on the world map with his concept of the two-nation theory. His message to the Pakistanis was the importance of education,” he said.
Khan advised students to focus their attention on education. “This is your first responsibility toward yourselves, your nation and your parents,” he said. “There is no doubt that the first condition for the progress and development of any country is an educated generation of young people, and Pakistan is lucky that 65 percent of its population consists of the youth in the country.”
He said the Quaid introduced three rules which would guarantee success in life: Faith, unity and discipline. “If we follow these rules diligently, there is no power in the world which can stop us from progress and development,” said the principal.
Khan stressed the need for higher education and for students to be dedicated to the cause of progress and development of Pakistan.
PISJ-ES students Subha Rahman, Janat Naveed and Fatima Ali also paid rich tributes to the Quaid and highlighted his message.
Mariya Mohiudeen enthralled the audience with a patriotic song, “Yun Di Humein Azadi Ke Duniya Huwi Hairan.” The film “Jinnah,” based on the life of Quaid-e-Azam, was screened on the occasion.
