LONDON: The following is a list of Wimbledon tennis men’s singles champions since 1922.
Roger Federer of Switzerland, who beat Murray in last year’s tournament, won seven times (2003-07, 2009 and 2012), along with Pete Sampras (1993-95 and 1997-2000).
Bjorn Borg of Sweden (1976-79) won 5 times and Rod Laver of Australia (1961-62 and 1968-69) won four times.
