Bahrain to host GCC-Turkish cultural forum

Bahrain will host a wide range of cultural and scientific functions at the GCC-Turkish Business and Cultural Forum in November.
The forum is organized by the Ankara-based Turkish-Arab Society for Science, Culture and Arts (TASSCA) in cooperation with the Bahrain Society for Tolerance and Religious Coexistence and other academic, cultural and business agencies in the GCC countries and Turkey.
The forum is aimed at boosting scientific, media, cultural and business partnerships between the GCC countries and Turkey. It will contribute to enhance security and stability in the region, Mohammed Al-Adil, head of TASSCA, told Arab News.
He said participation at the forum is open to individuals, universities, research centers, media and cultural organizations, businessmen and women, and chambers of commerce and industry. Head of Bahrain Society for Tolerance and Religious Coexistence Yusuf Yuzbon said the forum will promote the culture of tolerance and coexistence in the context of a rational dialogue that will strengthen the culture of citizenship, allegiance and respect of legitimacy in these countries.
Efforts are under way in Bahrain or other GCC countries to ensure a wider participation in the forum, Yuzbon said.
He said the forum will reflect a variety of activities and symposia including how to boost the scientific and cultural partnership between the GCC countries and Turkey, creation of mechanisms for the spread of culture of tolerance, religious coexistence, the spirit of citizenship as well as GCC-Turkish business partnership.
