'My Happiness' program launched in Dammam

Health Minister Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah yesterday launched a program called “Farhati” or “My Happiness” at Dammam Maternity and Children Care Hospital to help newborns and their mothers lead a healthy life.
At the launch, Al-Rabeeah said the program was designed not only to share the happiness of a new child, but also to continue the happiness by teaching the mother and the family how to stay healthy in the future.
“It is a community-based program chalked out in line with the vision of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah,” the minister said.
“With the help of the program, we plan to promote the concept of good health, healthy diet and especially the importance of breast-feeding, ” he said.
The minister called all sectors related to public health, including private universities, to participate in the ministry's ambitious programs to promote health education for the people’s well-being.
The minister also said that the ministry was keen on completing all its projects throughout the Kingdom, including the projects in the Eastern Province, as per schedule. “Our staff is dedicated to serve the people, offering the best health care services available in the Kingdom,” he stressed, pointing out that it is the wish of King Abdullah to serve the people with health care services without any discrimination.
He said the ministry maintained a central blood bank, which is the largest such unit in the region. It coordinates the activities of the other laboratories and blood banks throughout the Kingdom.
