In an interview with Giulio Zauner, general manager of Ferrari Middle East and Africa, he confirmed that the Middle East takes about eight percent of Ferrari production.
He, however, emphasized that the sheer numbers are not the important factor but rather the experience of each market.
He noted that there is a high degree of customization of Ferrari cars in the region, especially in Saudi and UAE markets.
They are also very demanding markets and they like their cars tailor-made.
He declined to specify which model is the best-selling in the region and said the latest models are most in demand.
He also pointed out that people in the region talk about Ferrari more than they talk about specific models.
Zauner also highlighted the importance of Dubai International Motor show for the region, commenting: “DIMS is a very important moment for the industry in this region, offering manufactures an exciting platform to showcase the latest automotive technology, innovation and newest models, as well giving our fans an intimate opportunity to connect with our brand.
Zauner elaborated on the importance of Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi especially in providing a unique experience for the young.
He also discounted any substantial change in the way the company conducts business after the company’s share offer at the New York Stock Exchange saying that “Ferrari will always be Ferrari.”
