• Hyundai has launched the Middle East’s first digital showroom and plans to revolutionize automotive sales with its innovative showroom concept that provides a unique brand virtual experience and allows visitors to explore the entire model range in a more personalized and modernized scale. The Hyundai Digital showroom, which is located in Dubai, offers all the traditional features of a car showroom while catering for those who increasingly expect to browse products and services digitally. Located in the Deira showroom of Hyundai’s UAE distributor, Juma Al-Majid Group, with whom it was developed, the state-of-the art facility features touch screen digital kiosks, multiple monitors and a designated customer area, all of which allow customers to conveniently browse the Hyundai line-up, comparing models, colors, pricing and features. It also allows them to view finance deals and other special offers.

• The all-new 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe features safety measures that makes the car one of the safest on the roads. Cadillac provides advanced safety based on Cadillac’s “control and alert” strategy, which employs up to two cameras, eight ultrasonic sensors and six radar signals to help prevent crashes. The safety features bolster driver vision and awareness of road hazards, and can even help the driver avert potential crashes. In certain situations, Cadillac’s advanced crash-avoidance systems, such as automatic braking, can automatically apply braking in response to potential hazards. Among the most sophisticated of the features is Front and Rear Automatic Braking. It relies on radar, camera and ultrasonic technology to help the driver prevent front and rear low-speed collisions via a progression of alerts that extend to complete braking, if necessary.

• Audi has been producing the A4 model at its main plant in Ingolstadt for 20 years now. With more than six million units sold so far, it is the most successful Audi of all time. The new mid-sized car conquered the world’s markets from the launch of the series in 1994 onwards. And twenty years later, strong demand continues for the Audi A4, now in its fourth generation. “When the Audi A4 superseded the successful Audi 80 series 20 years ago, it became a bestseller soon after its launch. It was the fastest production ramp-up in the company’s history. The foundations were laid by our employees’ commitment and the excellent preparations made for the new model series,” said Dr. Hubert Waltl, board of management member for production at Audi AG.

• BMW has concluded the year 2014 with more than 50 national and international awards. The prize winners were chosen by juries comprising readers of trade magazines or by specialized journalists who selected the winners in various different topic areas and categories. The spectrum of distinctions ranges from awards for design, sustainability, sportiness and innovation to intelligent vehicle networking. The most important international prizes include the renowned “International Engine of the Year Award”. The 3-liter straight six-cylinder petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology was declared winner of the coveted prize in its respective category for the fourth time. The i8 won the best hybrid award.
