RIYADH: Ahmed Obaid bin Dagr was on Monday appointed Yemen’s new premier and Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar was made the country’s vice president, SPA reported.
Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi said the appointments would have positive impact and consolidate his government’s powers. Hadi lauded the role played by Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the GCC states in supporting his government.
Khaled Bahah was relieved of his duties as prime minister by President Hadi on Sunday.
