The board of directors of ANB Invest endorsed the appointment of Bassam Al-Mubarak to the position of CEO with effect from Sept. 26.
Zuhair Al-Herbish, chairman of ANB Invest, applauded the efficiency of Bassam, his strong knowledge of the markets locally and internationally, his 25 years of experience in the securities business, both in brokerage and asset management.
“Bassam has a strong sense of loyalty to the ANB family, which will bring substantial value to ANB Invest, and enable the company to further develop its business and expand the scope of investment services to clients,” Al-Herbish added.
Bassam held a number of key positions in the company. His last assignment was head of the brokerage division in 2007 until he became the company’s CEO recently.
ANB Invest, Arab National Bank’s investment arm, is an independent company wholly owned by ANB, and is licensed by the Capital Market Authority to offer a wide range of investment, wealth management, asset management, IPO and special rights issue services.
