Attken International, announced its partnership with the US-based Do it Best Corp, a member-owned fully integrated hardware, lumber, and building materials cooperative in the home improvement industry, to develop the first store of its kind in Saudi Arabia.
Under the name of Attken Do It Best, the new store will be unveiled at Al Shatea Mall on Khaleej Road in Dammam toward May-end.
The opening of the new Attken Do It Best is considered a big step in the home improvement industry in Saudi Arabia; it will meet the needs and aspirations of the consumer, offer value-added programs and outstanding home improvement services, and invest in building local skill and talent in the retail business.
The new store will display over 40,000 different high-quality products at competitive prices, from housewares, electrical and home appliances, lawn and garden appliances, outdoor furniture, lighting, hardware, paint supplies, bed and bath, hand and power tools, building materials, indoor furniture, sporting gear and accessories, automotive products, plumbing tools, storage and organization products, clothing and apparel, and toys.
The Arabic name Attkan is stated to be "properly aligned" with the concept of Do It yourself, which saves a lot of effort and money and at the same time allows the Saudi consumer to choose all the necessary home and garden goods within the Attken concept.
Mishaal Al-Bawardi, executive director of Attken Do It Best, said: “We are very proud of our partnership with one of the biggest specialized retail brands in the United States, serving more than 3,800 member-owned locations there and 54 other countries.”
As part of the company's ambitious expansion programs, Attken Do It Best is planning to open three branches yearly throughout Saudi Arabia in order to offer their services all over the Kingdom, according to Al-Bawardi.
