The stand of Bahra Cables Company, a major cable manufacturing factory in Saudi Arabia, at Middle East Electricity Exhibition 2015 in Dubai received the Best Stand Design award from 1,500 exhibitors who participated in the show.
Exhibition organizing company Informa presented the award to Bahra Cables during a brief ceremony at its stand that occupied 105 sqm. Bahra is participating in the exhibition for the sixth consecutive year.
Talal Idriss, CEO of Bahra Cables, in a statement reiterated his company’s full commitment to the highest quality standard. “We were very keen to ensure that our stand at the exhibition be distinctive and reflect our values and aspirations to be on top of companies that manufacture cables and accessories in Saudi Arabia and the region,” he said.
He added: "At our stand, we displayed our products of high voltage cables and its accessories, including copper busbar and PVC conduits. We also showcased our first dry-type and oil-type transformers for industrial purposes."
Idriss pointed out that Bahra will manufacture these transformers, and for this purpose a factory is being built at the company’s industrial complex in Bahra under a joint venture with Legrand and that the factory will start production in early 2016.
Bahra has received a number of accreditation certificates such as KEMA, IPH, SASO, LPCB, CSA, BASEC, and others for its production of power cables. The company has also won ISO9001: 2008 for its collection of medium and high voltage cables. “We are the first Saudi cable manufacturer to receive ISO14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007,” the CEO said.
Bahra Cables specializes in manufacturing and distribution of electrical cables, and aims to become the lead developer for cables of low, medium and high voltage in Saudi Arabia. It has established advanced plants supported by German technologies to supply high-quality products.
