Arab National Bank backs technology forum

Arab National Bank sponsored a workshop at Fahad bin Sultan University in collaboration with the University of Montreal.
The theme was “Technology transfer in Saudi Arabia”.
Distinguished scholars from well-known foreign and local universities and international companies took part in the two–day workshop.
The workshop addressed issues pertaining to the challenges of transferring technology in the Kingdom, with a focus on identifying core technologies that contribute to the economic and social developments.
The workshop also discussed important topics such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, e-government and e-business, information and system securing and scientific research in the Arab World.
Obaid A. Alrasheed, deputy CEO and head of retail and private banking in Arab National Bank, said: “This sponsorship comes as part of the bank’s commitment toward society and in support of technology and scientific research, being one of the main factors behind the development of our country. We believe that such events are highly important to keep pace with the latest technologies, benefiting from the great experience of the developed countries.”
In his opening speech, Ahmed Nasri, president of Fahd bin Sultan University, expressed his appreciation to the Arab National Bank for taking the initiative to sponsor the event.
