‏JEDDAH- It is quite aptly dubbed "Masarrat" which means in Arabic (Joys) the creative exhibition full of assorted kinds of joys, creativity shows and cultural manifestation including fashion show , jewelry showcase, folkloric dance , handicraft parade , arts and conceptual arts gallery and even a rap music performance by Saudi youths.

‏Masarrat 2 was inaugurated by Prince Turki bin Khalid Bin Saud on Sunday (April 29th) with the presence of more than 1000 creative community personalities in addition to around 150 businesswomen including 35 of them who showcased their products for the first time as part of productive families' activity. The three –day function saw around 3000 visitors on its first day who were dazzled by the variety and versatile parts of the ceremony which was started by folkloric sketches of local traditional chants and dances performed by a popular group followed by the opening of the arts gallery of around 500 paintings, photography, conceptual arts and sculpture by Saudi young promising artists. Prince Turki toured the corners of the exhibition where he made a special stop at the section of one of the youngest female Saudi artists and the daughter of the late Saudi pop singer Talal Maddah. Nora Maddah caught the attention of the interested visitors in addition to the Prince with her unique work representing the rootage of the Saudi traditions and culture.
‏The exhibition also witnessed remarkable presence of local and international figures from the artistic community including the famous Tunisian actress Janita who will one of the heroine of the new upcoming series "Hawameer Al Sahra'a" to be aired on the Arab channels during Ramadan.
‏After that the Prince was ushered to the other section of productive families and the handicraft items on display which reveal the creativeness of the Saudi family members in representing unique different home-made products ranging from traditional food , beverages, traditional clothes, decoration and cabinets items, potteries and jewelry and accessories .
‏Princess Masha'el Bent Migren one of the top elite who attended the exhibition stressed that the participation of those Saudi women in this event would prove how far and effective the Saudi woman's role in the creative works and cultural functions. She added that it is very important to instill the culture of exhibitions and creative events in the minds of our society especially the events targeting the woman and her demands.

‏Zainab Al Qahtani the head of the organizing committee told Arab News that she is very pleased to see the second edition of her exhibition has been into the groove with the expansion of its parts to include all kinds of joys , cultures, arts and fun. She noted that the three days of the exhibition is expected to attract around 20 .000 visitors and the last day will be only for women .

‏The last two parts of the ceremony amused the attendance and were not expected where one of them was a modeling of the modern Saudi thobes presented by young Saudi models and organized by Lomar and the second part was a rap music show performed by a young Saudi group .

‏By the end of the ceremony the organizing committee presented a plaque of honor to Prince Turki as an appreciation of his support and patronage of the exhibition.
