Afridi unveils MCA’s Saudi Premier League trophy

MADINAH: The Madinah Saudi Premier League was launched and the trophy unveiled by former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi at a ceremony organized by the Madinah Cricket Association and Jeddah Cricket Association.
My Care and Hala will sponsor the SPL.
JCA’s Mohammed Iqbal, Aijaz Khan, Sameer Nidal (CEO of My Care and Hala), Hamid Rana, Haroon Abdulla and Shafiq Hussain were also present during the ceremony.
Jizan Premier League President, Jan Mohammed and Abdul Jabbar, the ex-president of Yanbu Cricket League, also graced the occasion.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Holy Qu’ran by Mohammed Abdullah. Hamid Rana, the main organizer, briefed the audience about the plan and how My Care and Hala’s role to organize and promote the game in Saudi Arabia. He also mentioned the previous visits by Afridi and gave details about the SPL.
MCA President, Syed Zahid Ali thanked Afridi, Sameer Nidal and Hamid Rana for their uncountable support to MCA.
Saudi guest, Ahmed Baker Zaidan promised for his support to MCA in the future.
Aijaz Khan addressed the audience and assured Madinah Cricket Association the support of the JCA
Sameer Nidal, thanked Afridi, dignitaries and audience from Medina Munawara.
Finally, Afridi thanked Sameer Nidal, Syed Zahid Ali and promised his support for the development of cricket in the Kingdom. He was also confident that Saudi Arabia will soon get its reputable place in international cricket.
Other dignitaries included Dr. Syed Insram Ali, Dr. Mujahid. Farhan Qureishi, Amanat Ali, Mohammed Saleem, Khalid Masood, Zahid Ameen, Rana Abrar, Mohammed Rauf, Chaudri Masood and Amjad Kiyani.
