Pak Crescent ‘A’, Rising Stars clinch YACA Jotun Cup

YANBUA: Pak Crescent ‘A’ and Rising Stars clinched league titles for the Twenty20 Jotun Cup Cricket Tournament, organized by the Yanbu Al-Sinaiyah Cricket Association.
In Division I, Pak Crescent got the better of Indo Riders by seven wickets and in Division II Rising Stars outclassed Pak Green by eight wickets.
In the first final, Indo Riders opted to bat and posted 128 for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated overs. Sharjeel Butt top-scored with 53 runs. Mohammad Sameer 26, Taseef Ahmad 17 and Mokar 17 were the other run getters. Fahad Raja and Sarfaraz Ahmed claimed two wickets each.
Pak Crescent chased well and achieved the winning target of 129 from 111 balls with 7 wickets to spare. Sarfraz Ahmad was the highest scorer with 56 runs, supported by Zahid 40 and Nadeem Bajwa 13. Sharjeel Butt, Tauseef and Sawan bagged a wicket each.

In the Division II final, Pak Green failed to take advantage after winning the toss and were bowled out of 79 runs. Waseem Khan (29), Adnan (14) and Ahsan (13) were the players who put up a fight. Suleiman Sarfraz took three wickets. Iqbal Azhar and Mohammad Waseem took two wickets each.
Rising Stars reached their target for the loss of two wickets off 90 balls.
Aamir Riyadh top-scored with 34 runs followed by Irfan Cheema (21) and Hamid Zeildien (20). Waseem Jatt and Adnan shared two wickets.
The Division I winners’ trophy was lifted by skipper Sarfaraz Ahmad and Manager Mazhar Khan of Pak Crescent, while the runner-up trophy was handed over to the captain of Indo Riders.
The best batsman award was bagged by Inayat Saeed of Al-Muzain, the best bowler went to Sarfaraz Ahmad of Pak Crescent A. Sharjeel Butt of Indo Riders was the player of the tournament.
The Division II winning trophy was handed over to the skipper of Rising Stars and the runner-up trophy to Pak Green skipper. The best bowler award was given to Aamir Riyaz of Young Stars while the best batsman went to Abdul Qadir of Pak Green and the man-of-the-tournament award was bagged by Saeed Rehman of Shah XI
