RIYADH: In a battle between two Pakistani Schools, Pakistan International School Riyadh, Nasriya, scored a double when they routed Pakistan International School Sulamaniya (English Section) both categories (under-19 and 16) in the Inter-School Twenty20 cricket tournament, under the Saudi Cricket Association and organized by the Riyadh Cricket League, at the RCL complex here.
In the under-19, PISR-N won by 7 wickets and later got the better off their Sulamaniya counterparts by 8 wickets.
PISR Sulamaniya elected to bat first and made 175 runs in their allotted overs. Athar top-scored with 51 runs. He was supported by Hamza who got 34. Mashood (12), Shayan (11), Hassain (13) and Saud (11) were the other run getters. Saif, Hamza and Majid claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply PISR-Nasriya achieved the target after 16 overs. Faisal scored a match winning innings of 59 runs. He was followed closely by Anas’s 50. Mubashir got 14. Athar bowled well and claimed 2 wickets.
Man-of-the-Match: Anas.
In the under-16 section, Sulamaniya elected to bat first and collapsed for 38 runs. Arshad was the only batsman who reached double figures with 11 runs. The rest fell at regular intervals. Sulaiman bowled well and took 5 for 10. Waleed took 3 and Haseeb 2 wickets.
In reply PISR -Nasriya reached their target after six overs. Shahzad (16) and Naeem (8) scored for the winners. Fozan and Hisham took a wicket each.
