RIYADH: Shaheen scored a thrilling three-wicket win over Insaf during the fifth week of the Static Zone Twenty20 Tournament organized by the Riyadh Cricket League as teams fight it out to qualify for the semifinal-stage.
In another closely fought encounter, Cricket Samarwa got the better of Mughal Cricket Club by 3 wickets.
In other matches played during the day, Pak edged past Chanar-XI by 14 runs, Riyadh Pirates beat Maestro by 19 runs, Cricketers Club struggled past Run Riders by 20 runs, JAMIAA had to fight hard for their four-wicket win over Sager, Kokan Green beat E & Y by 22 runs, OSN Warriors routed Diamond by 7 wickets, Super outclassed Gujranwala by 9 wickets and NAZ eased past PTI by 27 runs.
The performers of the day were Rashid Mirza’s ton, good bowling by Aasif Sheikh, Ahsan, Fahim while Nadeem, Amir, Faiz, Waseem Khan, Moin, Hyder, Mazharuddin, Zahiruddin, Sajjad impressed with their batting.
