The police are investigating the deaths of two unidentified Indian workers whose decomposed bodies were found in the north of Riyadh.
On a tip-off from the security guard of a holiday resort in the Al-Rumeih district, police went to the area and found the two bodies in a room where liquor had been brewed.
According to the police, the security guard has smelt the stench coming from a room which is occupied by the Indian workers.
On visiting the site, the police broke opened the room and found the bodies of the Indian workers whose ages were estimated at between 30 and 40 years.
Police said that initial investigations showed that there was no evidence of violence and nor were there any sign of altercation. Police ruled out any criminal motives in the case.
However, the bodies have been sent to the Forensic Department to determine the exact cause of the death, while the Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Prosecutions is pursuing investigations in the case.
Confirming the two deaths, an Indian Embassy official told Arab News that the mission does not have more details of the case. However, he added that the embassy would extend its support to the authorities to find out the causes of death and help the families of the deceased by informing them about the situation here.
The police station in Thumamah is conducting further investigations to ascertain the causes of death.
