The Al-Hukamaa International School in Jeddah recently organized a charity bazaar for the Citizens’ Foundation Trust to help more than 140,000 needy students in the rural areas of Pakistan and other countries around the world in the wake of the Peshawar tragedy.
Pakistan Consul General Aftab Khokher, who was also guest of honor, and Citizens’ Foundation Trust Development Manager Raed Brahedni, visited the school to see and appreciate the hard work of the Al-Hukamaa students in organizing the charity bazaar.
“The students with the support of their parents and teachers enthusiastically participated in the day’s events to help needy students,” principal of the school, Mohammed Farhan Kaleem said.
The students took part in various activities including Quad bike contests; PlayStation and Xbox console tournaments; photography; indoor football; cinematic exhibitions, and food stalls among others, he added.
Kaleem further said that it falls to the teachers, parents, and society to teach young students social responsibility and to help the needy children around the world. “Al-Hukamaa school teaches students to think about the less fortunate and be thankful for what they have,” he said.
He said that it was a great day for the students of the school and a success story in so many ways, adding that they had canceled their sports day in order to honor the martyrs of the Peshawar massacre.
