JCCI to help Saudis start home businesses

The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) plans to assist Saudis to start home businesses.
This is according to Saleh Kamel, chairman and president of the JCCI, who urged all segments of society to support Saudi women and men in their projects.
Kamel made the comments during a meeting held at the JCCI to prepare for the Productive Families Exhibition and Forum starting on Jan. 11. He said the forum would help improve the living standards of Saudi families. He said the participants at the event would learn how to get permits for their home industries, access funding, and benefit from workshops, lectures and meetings with experienced businesspeople.
Kamel said the forum is an opportunity for women, students and retired people to diversify their sources of income by working from home.
There are more than 300 productive families working from home that will participate in the exhibition and display their products including food, textiles, jewelry and perfumes.
