Zahid Ali Khan, editor in chief of The Siasat Urdu Daily in Hyderabad, was felicitated by community members and Saudi businessmen at Dewaniah Jeddah recently in recognition of his 50 years of service to Urdu journalism, national integration and communal harmony.
Introducing Zahid Ali Khan, Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki, general secretary of Indian Youth Welfare Association, said that Khan, in his seven decades of enormous opportunity has achieved many contributions.
He has left an indelible imprint on the hearts of millions by a commitment to living an exemplary life which reflects an honest approach, integrity, wisdom, compassion and living a life of principles.
He said that Khan’s remarkably eventful and dynamic life needs to be understood in a manner which does justice to his enormous contributions and personal sacrifices.
Chief guest Khalid A. Al Fozan said that India and Saudi Arabia have a long history of cultural and brotherly relations. He said the Indian culture and people have a special place in the hearts and minds of the Saudi community.
Hussam Al-Kahtani and Emad A. Al-Muhaidib also praised the contributions of Zahid Ali Khan and introduced him to the gathering.
