RIYADH: A Saudi youth ended his father’s apprehension about his joining the Daesh terrorist organization in Syria by resurfacing in the Kingdom.
The missing youth, Saad Al-Harbi, surfaced and asserted that he never contacted any terrorist organization in any form, saying that the rumor about his joining Daesh was an uncalled for interpretation of his sudden disappearance from the house of his father.
The youth said that he had withdrawn his papers from the Petroleum Institute of Al-Khafji to use them for getting a job and nothing else.
He pointed out that he wanted to return to the Eastern Province, but there were obstacles, which is why he postponed his return when it was clear that he would get job in Taif.
The news spread that Saad had joined one of the terrorist organizations soon after he disappeared in uncertain conditions between the Eastern Province and Al-Qurayat, particularly when his family revealed that he had not returned home.
The family of the 19-year-old youth was worried when he disappeared and turned off his mobile. In this situation, the family had no contact with him, leading his father to contact the security agencies about his apprehension.
