Customs to collect fees, revenues through Sadad

JEDDAH: Customs Department sources said the department is going to rely entirely on the Sadad system to collect customs duties and revenues starting next week.
The sources confirmed that there will be no other option for payment except Sadad, and all importers and customs brokers must use Sadad to pay customs duties.
All imports procedures must pass all legalities before the fees are paid.
Customs duties are paid automatically, according to the tables of integrated tariff, which allows goods to pass the customs gates. There is also an advanced customs clearance applied at all departments.
Goods are subject to inspection and preview by X-ray scanning or manual inspection, to ensure safety, accuracy of information and compliance with specifications and regulations.
The customs computer network covers all land, sea and air ports through a network of local area network supported by a Gigabit Ethernet technology with a standard design and extensive digital network spread across the Kingdom’s 44 ports.
