RIYADH: The Ministry of Labor and Social Development’s online employment portal, Taqat, which provides a unified platform for the labor market in the country and was launched in Riyadh on Sunday, provides 17 advantages and benefits to all job seekers and users, regardless of the stage of their professional careers.
The ministry said job seekers can benefit by using the portal in seven ways. They can have access to the largest number of vacant jobs in the country, advanced mechanisms for job seeking and developing CVs, tailored employment guidance, and training courses for advancing professional skills.
Other benefits users can access include advising linked to individual jobs needs and certain jobs, as well as unemployment assurance via Saned.
Job seekers and other users of the portal can also benefit from support services for employment while studying as the portal provides the largest number of available training jobs and internships. Guidance is tailored to individual needs and allows job seekers to draw out a professional plan from an early stage.
The ministry said Taqat also serves as an information center about all information concerning the job market. The portal also helps job sectors overcome recruitment challenges, noting that it provides excellent solutions to facilitate access to the best and most qualified candidates for certain positions.
Minister of Labor and Social Development Mufrej Al-Haqabani said that developing and regulating employment was one of the priorities of the Council of Economic and Developmental Affairs, noting that the portal “restructures the labor market and reveals needed specialties, as well as addresses many needs and concerns in the market, and will help release useful indicators.
