JEDDAH: There are many job opportunities in the Kingdom and proper education will ensure employment and eventually national development and achieve Vision 2030, education officials participating in a workshop in Yanbu said recently.
Mohammed Aloqbi, education director in Yanbu, said during the workshop that the Education Ministry is one of the important pillars for national transformation to achieve Vision 2030.
“Development of human resources is the primary role of the education department. Vision 2030 obliges us to work with one single approach, looking forward to 2030.
The coming generations will eventually judge whether we have succeeded in this vision or not,” he said. “Those involved in the education sector should know the crucial role they play in producing qualified citizens,” Abdulrahman Al-Barak, undersecretary of education for boys, said. He said: “Data available with us raises a number of questions: Do we actually check the positive results of training programs? Do we apply accurate methods to assess these programs?”
Mohammad Al-Badr, assistant director for training and scholarship department, said that developing the skills of teachers will result in boosting the performance in schools.
Jawaher Al-Shathry, general director of training and scholarship department, tabled a paper entitled, “Developing the professional performance of teachers in the light of nationalizing training at school.”
