Saudi Arabia will showcase its heritage and culture in Brazil next month during several Saudi cultural days, which will be organized by the International Educational Relations Department at the Ministry of Culture and Information.
According to the ministry's undersecretary, Abdul Aziz Al-Melhem, the event aims to present Saudi Arabia’s rich culture and heritage to Latin American countries to further enhance cooperation, especially in the field of culture and heritage.
Al-Melhem recently hosted the ambassadors of Brazil, Argentina and Peru ahead of the event, during which he expressed the Kingdom’s keenness for cultural exchange to strengthen relations with Latin American countries.
The undersecretary also held several meetings with Saudi participants, organizations and government institutions, as well as Ali Al-Anbar, general supervisor of “Bari,” the national program for handicrafts at the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA).
Taking into consideration the importance of the international event, the department is keen on exhibiting "the best inventory of cultural events that have taken place in all walks of life across its glorious history,” Al-Melhem said.
