Five receive ‘Inspirational Dreams’ award

Ahmed Abu Ras, the Western Region director of Saudi Aramco, handed over prizes to five winners of the “Inspirational Dreams” at Aramco’s summer festival — art competition at the Jeddah office.

The competition was organized in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dhahran at Aramco’s summer festivals with the cooperation of the Education Ministry and the Space Explorers Association. The winners received iPads and appreciation certificates from the organizers.
Abu Ras thanked the participants and said that the aim of the competition was to honor and enhance the skills of the children and to create a competitive atmosphere among them.

Nihar Marzok, branch manager of Fine Art society, Jeddah, said the Ministry of Education took the initiative to hold this competition, “I took care of it personally to establish a healthy atmosphere and fair competition, the best local fine art teachers were appointed to supervise it and to choose the winners,” he said.

The fine art teachers were: Mouied Al-Zahrai Mouied, Wahem Nazir Yawaz, Abdullah bin Saqar, Mohammed Mousa and Mohammed Al-Amri. He said the Space Explorers Association assisted a lot in this competition. The association is one of the professional, educational and nonprofit organizations with more than 350 people from 35 countries.

The association focused on the mission to provide a professional forum for dialogue on space exploration, promote education of space science and mathematics as a source of inspiration to students for continuous learning, promote environmental awareness and take advantage of the space science exploration for international cooperation and interoper-ability.

The winners of the “Inspirational dreams’ were four girls and one boy: Sarah Mansour Elias, Salma Mohammed Anwar, Heba Radwan Alam, Nasreen Hussain Al Amoudi and Khalid Al-Ahmadi.
