He emphasized the growing relations between the two countries in the area of defense and pledged personally to work and coordinate with his Saudi counterpart to this end for the best interests of both countries. Later Prince Salman hosted a luncheon for the delegation.
Defense Minister Prince Salman yesterday highlighted the strong Saudi-Spanish relations and said it has developed into a strategic partnership covering all areas and agreements and exchange of visits at higher levels.
He said the two countries have identical stances toward regional and international issues. Prince Salman’s statements came as he received visiting Spanish Defense Minister Pedro Morenés and a delegation accompanying him.
Prince Salman expressed hope the meeting would further boost relations between the two countries in the area of defense and witness more development for years to come.
Morenés conveyed the greetings of the Spanish king. For half a century relations between the two countries have been enjoying mutual respect and a series of agreements were signed including the friendship deals between the Kingdom and Spain, he said.
