The first contract is for establishing a water purification plant at the dam in Damad valley in Jazan Province. The duration of the contract, which will cost SR82.81 million, is 36 months. The second contract, worth SR67 million, is for implementing the first phase of sewage networks in Qalwa city in Al-Baha Province. The project would be completed within 36 months.
The minister signed a third contract for SR41.99 million to implement a drinking water purification plant in Al-Saleel in Riyadh Province. A SR36.72 million contract aims to implement a sewage network, linking with King Fahd Township in Madinah Province. Period of implementation of the two contracts is 36 months.
Another contract, worth SR31.69 million, will develop water networks in villages south of Qatif region in the Eastern Province, while a SR25.17 million contract aims at replacing pipelines for the transportation of excess water from Wadi Bisha to Wadi Mahra in Asir Province. These contracts would be completed within 18 months.
The minister also signed a contract for SR23.29 million to establish the first phase of the main pumping station to transport excess water from Wadi Bisha and another contract for SR18.89 million to set up a second pumping station at the Murabba purification plant in Asir Province. A contract for SR17.97 million will ensure the setting up of an emergency pipeline and pressure balancing system at the treated water transportation pipelines in Buraida city in Al-Qasim Province. The minister signed a SR16.99 million contract for the operation and maintenance of Wadi Rabigh dam in Makkah Province.
The other contracts include operation and maintenance of a water purification plant in Jazan (SR16.74 million), a drinking water project in the villages of Al-Laith in Makkah Province (SR15.17 million), and the completion of the water project in Al-Shamli villages in Hail Province (SR14.42 million), Aziziyah water reservoir works in Madinah Province (SR10.99 million), a project for re-using treated sewage in Riyadh (SR10.49 million), a water project from the main pipeline to Saeedan in Al-Shamli villages in Hail (SR10.10 million), engineering consultancy services to supervise sewage projects in some regions in Al-Qasim Province (SR9.64 million), and water projects from the main pipeline to Al-Shaqiq Abal Hairan in Al-Shamli villages (SR9.64 million).
