“This is a unique and first in-hotel concept store offering a luxury service to our guests ... they can browse our wonderfully-produced catalog in the comfort of their rooms ... and can place orders for some of the most carefully sourced and handcrafted gift items from around the world including perfumes, watches and cosmetics,” said Sami Al-Hokair.
He said many such stores would open in the coming months at Al-Hokair chain of hotels, such as Holiday Inn, Novotel and Golden Tulip.
“By the end of next year we will have 15 such stores in our hotels here in the Eastern Province, Jeddah and Riyadh,” said Sami Al-Hokair. According to the Saudi Catering chief, having to find good gifts to take back home or to offer it to a business associate is not the easiest task for a guest who is always in a hurry and for whom time is of the essence.
“We have, therefore, created a whole range of collections to ensure our guests can quickly find the right present without the hassle of spending time going around for shopping,” said Christophe Parent.
“Our biggest strength is our exclusivity and the prime quality of our products.”
According to him, though some of the brands available in the market and La Boutique Skysales may appear the same, there is a huge difference in quality. Fadi Mazkour, regional director of Al-Hokair group’s business and marketing development division, said: “We promise our valued hotel guests the best in everything. This is not just any gift shop. It is a shop with a difference, luxury and style.”
