"I have already spoken to the mayor and want to hear the citizen who was mistreated before taking any action," the minister told reporters after inspecting the Mashair Railway project.
"When we study an issue we have to hear both sides to give a judgment," Prince Mansour said about the mayor's case, which has been widely publicized by the social media.
"My office is open and the citizen can come at any time to present his grievances," he said and emphasized the citizen's right to get necessary services from government officials.
He said the Mashair Railway would work with its full capacity during this Haj season to transport more than 500,000 pilgrims. "Last year, we utilized only 35 percent of its capacity," he pointed out.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister Habib Zain Al-Abidine said the railway's extension would be built in the north of Makkah, adding that the project would cost SR6 billion. The Makkah extension will be completed within two years, he added.
