Giving the minister and her accompanying delegation a detailed briefing, Hassan Ahmed Al-Ghausi, director of the complex, said the complex is the world's largest Qur'an printing facility of its kind.
The minister was acquainted with the various stages of Qur'an printing process. She was informed that the Qur'an complex was established through a Royal decree in 1985. It has since published and distributed over 128 million copies of the Qur'an. With a workforce of more than 1,700 employees, the complex produces 10 million copies of Qur'an annually. It has published 55 different translations of the Qur'an in 39 languages and Tajweeds. The complex is also working to publish the preserved works of Sunnah and sayings of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
The minister took keen interest in the electronic and digital script print system adopted at the complex. Later, recording her comments in the visitor's book, the minister lauded the significance of the Qur'an complex in spreading and disseminating the message of Islam the world over. She also appreciated the Saudi leadership and its efforts in guiding the Ummah and taking keen interest in their worship.
Earlier, the minister visited Masjid Qiblatain, Quba Mosque, Ghazwa-e-Uhud site and other historical sites in Madinah. She paid her deep respects at the Rauza-e-Rasool and prayed for the peace, stability and progress of Pakistan and the Ummah.
