Education Minister Prince Faisal bin Abdullah issued a circular urging all schools in the Kingdom to allocate part of their first period on Sunday to students to express their feelings about the king in writing.
Education departments will collect the children’s writings, which will be sent to the ministry.
Ahmed Al-Zahrani, director of girls’ education in Jeddah, said the feelings expressed by girl students in the city reflected how much they loved the king, as they had prayed for his quick recovery.
Muhammad Bakheet, director of boys’ education in Yanbu, said students from boys’ schools in the city expressed their love to the king through prayers and paintings.
