Kingdom’s nonoil exports rise 15% in September

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s nonoil exports rose to 9.4 billion riyals ($2.51 billion) in September, up 15 percent from a year earlier, official data showed on Sunday.

The main exports were plastics and petrochemical products,
which collectively amounted to 69 percent of all exports, bringing in 6.4
billion riyals, the data showed.
A year earlier, non-oil exports stood at 8.1 billion riyals
according to data from the Central Department of Statistics and Information’s
(CDSI) website.
Asian countries were the main importers, receiving 33 percent
of the Kingdom’s nonoil exports, followed by the GCC region and other Arab
countries.
China received 10 percent of Saudi Arabia’s nonoil exports,
amounting to 951 million riyals, followed by the United Arab Emirates and
Singapore, received 8 percent of exports, worth around 850 million riyals each.
