Prince Naif, Saudi Arabia's Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, arrived in Kuwait City on Monday to lead the Kingdom's delegation to the meeting.
Kuwaiti Interior Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Sabah, who greeted the Saudi official at the airport, commended Prince Naif's contributions to GCC security.
GCC Secretary-General Abdul Rahman Al-Attiyah emphasized the significance of the meeting in the light of recent developments including Al-Qaeda's aborted plan to carry out bomb attacks in the United States.
