He said more youth clubs need to be established to ensure young people are not constantly bored.
"Parents should take care of their children and ward them away from ideological deviations or organizations that undermine the religion and the nation," he said at a news conference early Monday on the sidelines of the 17th meeting of provincial governors in Makkah.
"We have directed governors to tackle youth issues by employing the methods of guidance and advice. There should be clubs for sports and other activities for the youth during their free time."
He added that more playgrounds and recreation centers are being established in districts with the cooperation of citizens.
"It is impossible for the government in the Kingdom, or any other country for that matter, to employ all young people. However, unemployed citizens should find work in state and private establishments," he said.
"The Ministry of Civil Service should coordinate with the Ministry of Education and other ministries to find jobs for as many Saudi graduates as possible. The private sector must also employ young people and I have discussed this with a number of chambers of commerce in the Kingdom," he added.
The prince also called on young people to conduct themselves in a dignified manner and avoid dressing indecently.
Prince Naif said that a higher committee had been set up to coordinate and follow up work to repair damage caused by natural calamities.
"Each provincial governorate is responsible for the management and follow-up of all natural calamities in its jurisdiction," he said.
"A higher committee has been set up to monitor natural calamities that have already happened and might happen in future. The committee will strive to deal with them in the right manner."
Prince Naif said the governors’ meeting also dealt with the changing role of provincial councils, housing for needy citizens and illegal occupation of government and private land.
"We will submit a detailed report to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah about the discussions in the meeting," the prince said.
Prince Naif’s reply to a question about the threats issued by the Taleban to Saudi flood relief workers in Pakistan was that Allah's will shall prevail.
