"The New York Plaza, under Fairmont management, is a world landmark," said Prince Alwaleed.
The HEA were hosted by the Morris Visitor Publications New York (MVP/NY), which is the equivalent of the Emmy Awards for the hotel industry. The two awards were presented at the Wall St. Cipriani Grand Ballroom in New York early this month.
The Plaza, which offers 282 grooms and suites, underwent a $400 million renovation before KHC announced its re-opening in 2009.
The Plaza had earned the esteemed AAA's Five Diamond Rating for 2010.
