AMMAN, 21 November 2005 — The Jordanian Cabinet yesterday approved a deficit budget for fiscal 2006 envisaging public expenditure of 3.51 billion dinars ($4.96 billion), according to Finance Minister Adel Qudah. The spending figure represents a 20 percent increase over last year’s projections, economists said.
