DHAHRAN, 10 November 2004 — As people across the Kingdom prepare for Eid Al-Fitr, the Saudi Aramco Exhibit is getting ready to welcome guests during the upcoming holidays, scheduling plenty of entertaining activities for families.
Groups of entertainers will present a variety of activities, including contests and programs in the exhibit’s climate-controlled tents.
The Exhibit theater will screen “Energy to the World,” an award-winning 3D film that can be played in 11 different languages. Also showing will be “Where Does it Come From?” on the origins of oil, and “Land of Khuzama,” which takes a look at protecting wildlife and the environment.
The Exhibit also is teaming up with the Fire Protection Department to present a safety program on kitchen fires. Related booklets and brochures will be distributed to visitors. The program on the dangers of kitchen fires will be illustrated with an actual stove fire in a controlled situation and with continuous demonstrations and plasma-screen displays.
The Saudi Aramco Medical Services Organization (SAMSO) also will conduct an educational program on nutrition by displaying samples of healthy diets, distributing pertinent publications, and answering questions related to the subject.
Visitors also can take a tour of the eight permanent sections of the Exhibit to learn about oil and gas industry, Saudi Armco’s history and the Kingdom’s rich Arab-Islamic heritage. Contests will be offered, with prizes.
The second day of Eid will be the start of activities for the public, which will last through Nov. 19. The Exhibit will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day except Friday, when hours will be 2:30-8 p.m. Family activities are 3-8 p.m. For information, call 03-876-7676.
